It Moved

5:41am this morning we experienced our first earthquake here in Japan. It was similar to the feeling of a large truck driving down the side of the mountain where we live except that the vibrations continued for half a minute. The closet doors in our bedroom were rattling quite a bit, but praises there was no damage to the house. Turns out it was a 5.3 magnitude quake in the next prefecture over some 60 miles away.
